My Trial By Erosion Of Words

The Columbia Blowfish (the team I worked for this past Summer) have begun putting out a series of videos advertising all of their promotions for the upcoming season.

Two things: I wish they had done this last year so I could have been a part of them. Also, this may be the most unintentionally hilarious thing ever.

Let me just point out everything that is great about this video.

  • The girls and Blowie The Blowfish (the mascot) are reading a Baseball America magazine. Now I know they’re trying to promote reading, but there is a difference between Baseball America and A Tale of Two Cities.
  • “Yes way!”
  • “I want a hot dog!”
  • That check. My God is that check something else. Unfortunately the Blowfish don’t have any novelty checks just lying around, so it appears that they took a piece of cardboard and made that their novelty check. Suck it Ed McMahon.

Disclaimer: If any current Blowfish interns/employees see this, please know that I’m only mentioning this because it’s funny. Not because I don’t like you.
